There will be an Open House and Community Meeting at Barbara Frum Library for the application at 3636 Bathurst St. on May 26th, 2016.
The most recent submission received by the City proposes 9 and 10-storey additions with retail on the ground floors. A total of 502 units are proposed, including the existing units. The original submission was received by the City December 2011.

An application was submitted for a new 19 storey apartment building, with nine and seven storey additions to the existing 19 storey apartment building, retail space on the ground floor, and amenity centre for all buildings. I believe this proposal is too much dense for this site and the building's location on Bathurst.
A preliminary report to Community Council and subsequent public meeting was held with residents. I also held a meeting with tenants of 3636 Bathurst which has resulted in improvements to building maintenance, safety and traffic studies for the area.
A final application for this site is still pending and I will push to ensure resident concerns regarding density, height and traffic are addressed.
As part of my ongoing efforts to meet with residents and knowing that development interest along Bathurst is increasing, I hosted a series of Meet & Greets in buildings along the Bathurst corridor. By working together I believe we can develop a long term vision for Bathurst that includes the improvements and buildings residents want to see.
