Marlee 716 - 718

In March 2012, an application was made to demolish two existing detached homes fronting Marlee Avenue to permit the development of five new, 3 storey single family dwellings with at-grade garages fronting onto Glengrove Avenue.

 
In addition to the two formal public meetings hosted by the City, I arranged the applicant to meet with local residents who identified issues concerning the number of new homes proposed, setbacks and lot sizes, and fit with neighbouring residences.
 
I am pleased to inform residents that at the final hearing of this matter on May 14, 2013, North York Community Council approved a 4 residence configuration, lowering the number of floors from 3 to 2 storeys, increasing setbacks from the sidewalk, further reducing lot coverage and additional requirements for appropriate fencing along the corner lot at Marlee Avenue. 
 
Thank you to area residents and the local residents association for working with my office on achieving a final configuration that is respectful and better integrated into the surrounding community.
