Following my recent update on the 36 & 37 Jane Osler Boulevard and 42 & 44 Cartwright Avenue development application, I wanted to report that the motion I moved on January 31, 2018 has been adopted by City Council.
The City Council-approved recommendations from the Planning Staff report that I requested are as follows:
- For the site owner to provide two acoustic fences -- one 3 metres high along the north and northeast property lines, another 2 metres high on top of the proposed wall along the west property line -- to reduce noise from Highway 401 and nearby commercial/industrial operations
- For the site owner to provide a proximity warning clause to advise current and future owners of the proposed units of audible sounds, vibration and vehicle exhaust from nearby commercial/industrial operations
- For the site owner to replace boundary tree #892 with three native tree species in a similar location at proposed Lot #5
