The Final Report on a Rezoning Application for a 4 storey apartment building will be presented to NYCC on August 12, 2014.

Published January 1, 2013 - An application was made for an 8 unit, four storey residential building with underground and surface parking accessed through a single driveway. The site currently contains a single-detached home next to St. Cosmas and Damian School.

City Planning hosted a community consultation with the applicant on January 24, 2013, which I attended. At that meeting, residents indicated they would like to have an additional meeting prior to the Final Report going to Council. I will arrange this meeting so the applicant can address the community's concerns regarding the proposal.

On June 27, 2013, I met with local residents and City staff as a follow up to resident requests at the January meeting.  Several issues were raised including residents' concerns about traffic, children's safety, design, and density.  The Transportation department is currently conducting a traffic study as part of the planning process. As so many residents voiced their apprehension around this issue, I will be sure to inform you of the results. Planning staff will host a final community consultation this fall.
